Why didn’t I paint this tomorrow... Tin Roof Sunday? It was a relief to be out in the open after so much myopic study and concentration earlier in the day. It was a sigh of ‘Aahhhh, sky and breadth.” The buildings are the last of the old farmstead still standing. The house is a pile of rubble, it wasn’t last summer. Very sad. But the color was beautiful and the sense of what used to be in those two buildings was omnipresent.
